Abiu – Sweet, Silky & Refreshing

Abiu (Pouteria caimito) is a tropical fruit known for its smooth golden-yellow skin and soft, translucent flesh. When fully ripe, the inside becomes silky and jelly-like, with a naturally sweet flavour often compared to caramel, vanilla, and pear.

Why You’ll Like Abiu:

Silky Texture:
Soft, smooth, and almost jelly-like when ripe, with a very delicate mouthfeel.

Naturally Sweet Flavor:
Mild and dessert-like, with notes of caramel, vanilla, pear, and light tropical sweetness.

Refreshing & Light:
Juicy without being watery, making it especially enjoyable chilled.

Nutrient-Rich:
A natural source of vitamin C, dietary fiber, and beneficial antioxidants.

Perfect Ripeness Guide:
The fruit is always delivered ripe to you. Enjoy straight away or keep chilled to enjoy later.

How to Enjoy:
Cut the fruit in half, remove the seeds, and scoop out the flesh with a spoon. Avoid eating the skin, as it can release sticky latex when cut.

Each Abiu is carefully selected at the right stage of maturity so it can develop its characteristic sweetness and silky texture.
